Barphone is proud sponsor of the Prom Racing Alumni Formula Student Team at the Alumni Cup 2024! The Team consists of former members of the Prom Racing student team of the National Technical University of Athens and is going to participate for the first time in its history in the Alumni Cup.
This special championship, exclusively for former members of Formula Student, will be held in Hungary on the 28th of July to the 3rd of August 2024. For this competition, the Prom Racing Alumni Team will be using the P19 – Prom Racing’s last internal combustion engine car built in the 2018-2019 season. In fact, it is worth mentioning that in the 2018-2019 racing year with the P19, the team had managed to be in the Top 10 in all the competitions it had participated in, to win a multitude of distinctions, and for just 0.02 seconds not to break the world record in the “Skidpad” event which evaluates the lateral acceleration of the car.
The Alumni Cup enables former team members to relive the unique moments offered by a Formula Student competition while also passing on their knowledge to the next generation of engineers. 2024 is the fourth year that the institution of the “Alumni Cup” has been held by the organization of Formula Student East (Hungary), attracting more than 20 teams.
