Barphone, in collaboration with Genesys, hosted the exclusive event “AI Meets Experience: The New CX Standard” on Thursday, November 13th, at the St. George Lycabettus Hotel. Executives from leading Greek businesses had the opportunity to explore modern approaches to Customer Experience (CX), witness live demonstrations of cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technologies for Contact Centers, and engage with technology experts from Greece and abroad.
Petros Therianos, CEO of Barphone, shared the company’s “re-genesys journey” in recent years and its transition into the era of Intelligent CX. During the event, Dimitris Verykios, Sales Director, highlighted the strategic value of the Barphone–Genesys partnership, while Vasilis Koutsopagos, CTO, presented Barphone’s overarching strategy for solutions that enhance performance, automation, and service quality. He also introduced the innovative Barphone AI BOTcamp project, showcasing the methodology for comparative evaluation of AI Voice capabilities across leading hyperscalers (Dialogflow, Copilot, ElevenLabs).
From the Genesys team, Sean Straus, Account Director, and Eleni Poulimenea, Solutions Consulting Manager, presented the future of the Genesys Cloud CX platform, focusing on Autonomous AI Agents and next-generation tools for contact centers. Paul Turner, Workforce Engagement Management Specialist, demonstrated how AI can empower agents and supervisors through practical, real-world examples.
Guest speakers, distinguished professionals from the technology and business community, shared their perspectives on the future of customer experience. Christos Polydorou, Infrastructure Modernization & AI Specialist at Google, presented how Google’s AI technologies are transforming business conversations. Konstantinos Varouxis, Head of Technology at SmartRep, analyzed the shift from impressive demos to real, production-ready GenAI implementations within operational environments.
The event concluded with an inspiring talk by Dimitris Dimitriadis, Futurist and co-founder of TheFutureCats, who emphasized the central role of the human element in the new era of artificial intelligence, delivering a deeply human-centered perspective on the future of customer experience.
